Head tracking
Turn your head and the drone’s camera follows — the most immersive way to fly.
With head tracking on, DroneXR reads your phone’s motion sensors and moves the drone’s gimbal to match: look down and the camera tilts down. On DJI Mini drones the camera tilts up and down (Pitch); turning left and right still happens with the drone itself.
Switch it on
- Open the in-flight menu and choose Head Tracking.
- Switch on Pitch. (Roll and Yaw appear too; Mini drones only tilt their camera, so Pitch is the one that matters.)
- Look straight ahead — that is level. Tilt your head down to look at the ground.
Choose a profile
The profile sets how quickly the camera follows your head:
- Fast — follows almost instantly. Best for flying and looking around.
- Medium — a balance between responsiveness and smooth footage.
- Cinematic — slow and soft. Best when you are recording video.
You can also choose the profile before you fly, under Settings → Head Tracking.
